THE SAFETY-CRITICAL SYSTEMS CLUB, Twenty-ninth annual:

Safety-Critical Systems Symposium (SSS'21)

Tuesday 9 - Thursday 11 February, 2021 - Online, Free to Members

The 29th SCSC Safety Critical Systems Symposium 2021 (SSS'21) will be held from 9th - 11th February 2021 in an online format. It will be split into three sessions, held in the afternoons and one evening session over the three days.

The keynote speakers are:

Robin Bloomfield, John Holmes, Peter Ladkin, Davy Pissoort, Harold Thimbleby and Simon Whiteley.

Patrick Hudson, John McDermid and Emma Taylor will be giving special talks.

We are particularly pleased to welcome back Tim Kelly, our past director of the club, who will give a special introductory talk.

Key features are:

● Six keynote presentations;

● Primary themes of: Covid-19, Embedded Systems, Future Assurance, Internet of Things (IoT), Software, Security Informed Safety and Human Factors and Safety Culture;

● Updates from the SCSC Working Groups;

● Virtual exhibition and poster area;

Proceedings book provided with papers for presentations and posters

It will be a FREE TO ATTEND event, but you must be a full SCSC member to attend. See https://scsc.uk/membership 

Registered delegates will be sent joining instructions by email prior to the event.

The Symposium will be coordinated through the Whova app which is available as a web application or as an app for a mobile device.  Whova will provide the agenda for each day with links to the presentations, papers and other resources.  Online presentations will be delivered using Zoom and Pre-recorded presentations will be available as streamed video.

The link to the conference in Whova will have been sent to registered delegates by email. As a backup you can use this link to Whova but you will need either sign in to Whova using your registered email address or have the code from the joining instructions available.

It would help with the organisation of future events if you could complete the evaluation form after each day that you participate:

Virtual Exhibition

There will be a virtual tools and services exhibition.   Exhibitors will be provided with an exhibitor booth profile on our Whova event platform.   They will be able to build their event profile, add files to share, video presentations, offer promotions, chat with attendees and schedule live showcases through Zoom.
