Safety Critical Systems Symposium SSS'23
Tuesday 7 - Thursday 9 February 2023, York, UK https://scsc.uk/sss
This event will be held in-person at the Principal Hotel, York, UK
SSS'23 comprises three days of presented papers, including keynote presentations, submitted papers and posters. There will also be an evening session with a banquet on the Wednesday with additional talks.
 The symposium features:
- Seven keynote presentations and talks on submitted papers;
- A poster session including the SCSC Working Groups;
- 'Room 101' entertainment with Roger Rivett, Tom Anderson, Nikita Johnson and Tim Kelly
- A banquet with Les Hatton giving the after-dinner speech;
- Proceedings book, newsletter 2022 Compendium book and working group guidance books;
- Visit and demonstrations at the University of York Institute of Safe Autonomy;
- Special beer (or non-alcoholic alternative) designed and commissioned for the symposium;
- Safety activities;
- Social events in York
SSS’23 is being run as a face-to-face event, please contact alex.king@scsc.uk for access from abroad.

The SCSC working groups will be presenting posters with an informal chat - these cover everything from Assurance Cases through Data Safety to Risk Ontology. There is also a working group get-together on the Wednesday morning.

Working Groups
The new Systems Approach to Safety of the Environment working group (SASEWG) has just had its 5th successful meeting. Please contact sarah.carrington@scsc.uk to join.
Both the Data Safety Initiative (DSIWG) and Service Assurance (SAWG) working groups will be producing new versions of their guidance at SSS'23. Look out for it!
The DSIWG will also be holding a special interactive session first thing on the Wednesday morning of the symposium where the RADISH tool can be used. This is a great chance to find out all about data safety, why it matters to you and how the tool can help.
