The Dependability Theme of the SSEI is looking for methods to improve the resilience of software in operation. SSEI Task 19 is studying the options for improving dynamic risk assessment in complex Systems of Systems (SoS). Specifically Task 19 aims to create a prototype tool to carry out dynamic risk assessment. This tool will eventually allow an operator in the field to see a live picture helping him to understand safety concerns within the SoS. This tool also intends to enable the operator to perform evaluative functions so that the operator can understand the potential effect of different configurations.
