This document aims to identify challenges associated with the demonstrably safe use of Autonomous Systems(AS), in order to scope the guidance provided by the Safety of Autonomous Systems Working Group (SASWG). The intent is to identify significant challenges, for example, those that: are applicable to arrange of AS; are relevant to a range of different domains, or industrial sectors; are likely to require considerable effort to resolve.
