The International Workshop on Assurance for Software-intensive Systems (ASSURE) is a new incarnation of the earlier workshop series on Assurance Cases for Software-intensive Systems. It expands the scope of those earlier workshops to new and ongoing research and practice for addressing the assurance challenges brought forth by novel technological advances over the past decade: for example, in autonomy enabling technologies such as machine learning, including deep neural networks, transformers, large language models, etc., which have already been deployed in safety-critical transportation systems, sometimes with catastrophic consequences.
